This is exciting to find a web site with free accordion lessons. When I was younger I got inspired and bought an accordion from Accordion Corp of America and bought some correspondence lessons. Got so far and stopped. Now you are inspiring me to get the accordion out of the closet and take it up again. Would like to have an accordion with musette someday like you explain in your lesson. Thanks a million. Keep up the great work.

I took lesson for a few years about 50 years ago when I was a kid. I would like to take up the accordion again. I have been doing your lesson on the computer, and it is coming back to me. My grandkids have been wanting me to play the Chicken Dance, but I can't seem to find the sheet music for it. Do you happen to have it? If you do can you e-mail it to me. Thank you I would really appricate it.

Dear Duane - many, many thanks, for putting these lessons online. I have played a bit of violin and a bit of flute in the past but never a keyboard instrument. I love your lessons which are informal and informative at the same time - its almost as if you are speeaking directly to me! Having just turned 70, I started with a 48 base Weltmeister at the end of November last and am now on lesson 17 and, guess what, my wife even likes the sound of my practising! Best wishes and thanks again, Richard.

Mr. Schnur: I give you a great deal of credit in undertaking the task of introducing/teaching accordion via internet. The lessons are conveyed in such a manner that should the individual have no prior exposure to music, he/she can learn this very versatile instrument. I am enjoying learning accordion and I thank you for your help. Bill, Milwaukee

Love your website and the lessons. I learnt how to the the accordian as a child and in my 20's put the accordian to rest. After 30 years i have became fascinated with the instrument and have found that i am that rusty its not funny. I have started from lesson 1 and slowly progressing in the last two weeks to lesson 10. The way you explain the session is great, it is coming back to me and i look forward to many hours of fun and practice as i reskill again in the playing of the accordian.

Hey Duane! I'm a wannabee street musician. I got to know street musicians in San Francisco, Prague, and Russia. I had a Russian accordion teacher but I'm extremely rusty. I'm taking it back up! Didn't know where to go, but here you are! When the student is ready--the teacher appears! I will attack your lessons starting tomorrow. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much for your lessons! Your hard work is impressive, and listening to you explain the downloaded pages is so helpful. I'd just about given up on my new accordion, but now I look forward to learning!

I appreciate the work you've done on this website. I just recently taken up the accordion, doing lessons on a 12 bass for now, trying to absorb as much as I can.
