Hi,

I wanted to thank you SO MUCH for posting all of these accordion lessons. It is a wonderful vault with a thorough progression and an opportunity for beginners to graduate into a solid intermediate experience level.

I must tell you that it means a lot to start playing again. You see, when I was a young boy I took a few lessons with my grandfather who was an Italian born accordion musician. As a young man he learned the instrument and was paid to perform well into his 20's and continued to play recreationally throughout his life. Unfortunately, my interest in the accordion didn't last very long but admired my grandfather's ability to play the instrument.

About two weeks ago he passed away and left me with his prized accordion. It means so much to find your site and have the ability to pick up the accordion and hear bellows strike the same chords on the same accordion my grandfather used to play. Thank you for making it so easy to learn and letting me reconnect with my grandfather in a way that I cannot speak. I think this time I'll stick with it.

Kindly,
David

Dear Duane,

I just want to let you know that your lessons give me so much joy! I am not a fast pupil. After 1 year, 1 hour a day I am with lesson 26. But the idea that I will have lessons for the next 3 years is great. Thank you so much!

Bob

Hi, I just found your website and am excited to start your lessons. I played the accordion for a couple of years 35 years ago and then switched to piano so I have a lot of music background. The accordion has always been my first love and Im going for a mastery of it now Im retired. Im in Vancouver Canada.
Where are you located?

found your page after looking around to see if there were any accordion lessons available on-line. thanks for this, you have put an amazing amount of work into it. I played when I was a child, and quit when I was in hiogh school about 50 years ago...My wife heard Blue Skirt Waltz on your demo two and a half years ago, and decided that I had to take up the instrument again...
It has been a fun although sometimes frustrating experience....I have used your lesson page many times, and it has been a huge help to me.

I don't think I would be back at it without having seen your " free lesson " page.

many thanks.

Hi i am originally from UK but now live in Spain now, trying to find an accordion teacher here is nigh on impossible. I dont come from a musical background or play any other instruments,I bought a couple of accordions a couple of years back when i retired but quickly lost interest due to not being able to find a teacher and the books all seemed to be written in jibberish.
I started looking at your site just before christmas and decided to make my new years resolution to get the accordions out and learn to play, so a month on and i am amazed, i am already on lesson 5, playing pop goes the weasel on both hands, have a good knowledge of the basics of reading music. Im well impressed.Thankyou
