I just want to thank you for making this website. I'm 67 and used to play accordion as a kid. I recently had my grandmother's beautiful Iorio accordion restored. It's from the 1920's. So now I am getting back into accordion playing. And YOU are a great help. Thanks again.

--Loren

PS-If you email me I can send pictures of my accordion and a youtube link so that you can hear it played. Thanks.

Hello! I'm sure you hear this all the time, but I really appreciate that you took the time to put these lessons on the internet! It is such a GREAT resource or beginner accordionists such as myself. It's especially helpful for those (also, such as myself) that are on a tight budget...Thank you again, and please keep up the fantastic job!

WOW!

What a great site and source of info. Just a professional, recently retired, but with a feel for music, I decided to learn to play the Accordion. Not sure about it, I bought a small 12 base. Love your lessons. I now know I like it and will move up.
Thanks for sharing.

I am having so much fun with your accordion lessons! I am actually on lesson 36! I am 70 and remembered the accordion my sister played when I was just a kid. I play violin and am learning the cello and piano. I still like to start each day with my accordion. Hearing your lessons makes me think I really know you and just wanted to say thanks. It has been so much fun!

Dear Duane,

I would like to congratulate in such a wonderful website. I was born in Colombia and we have this rhythm called vallenato (Check Carlos Vives, great example of it). Accordions are everything for this kind of music.

My wife got this very old accordion a couple of months ago. Today I saw it there, like saying come on and play some notes. I have no music background, but I felt the need to play it.

Here I am checking your lessons and I have to say I couldn't have found any better place.

Thank you.

Felix

Duane, thanks so much for sharing these lessons. I took accordion lessons for 5 years while I was in grade school, and I got to be a pretty decent accordionist, but when I stopped lessons I've hardly picked up my instrument more than 4 or 5 times since. I'm now 62 years old and just retired last year. I'd really like to start playing again, but needless to say, I need a refresher!
