WOW!

What a great site and source of info. Just a professional, recently retired, but with a feel for music, I decided to learn to play the Accordion. Not sure about it, I bought a small 12 base. Love your lessons. I now know I like it and will move up.
Thanks for sharing.

I am having so much fun with your accordion lessons! I am actually on lesson 36! I am 70 and remembered the accordion my sister played when I was just a kid. I play violin and am learning the cello and piano. I still like to start each day with my accordion. Hearing your lessons makes me think I really know you and just wanted to say thanks. It has been so much fun!

Dear Duane,

I would like to congratulate in such a wonderful website. I was born in Colombia and we have this rhythm called vallenato (Check Carlos Vives, great example of it). Accordions are everything for this kind of music.

My wife got this very old accordion a couple of months ago. Today I saw it there, like saying come on and play some notes. I have no music background, but I felt the need to play it.

Here I am checking your lessons and I have to say I couldn't have found any better place.

Thank you.

Felix

Duane, thanks so much for sharing these lessons. I took accordion lessons for 5 years while I was in grade school, and I got to be a pretty decent accordionist, but when I stopped lessons I've hardly picked up my instrument more than 4 or 5 times since. I'm now 62 years old and just retired last year. I'd really like to start playing again, but needless to say, I need a refresher!

Am learning so much so fast. Have a background in Piano, guitar, uke, and clarinet. Lessons are exactly what I needed to expedite my skill with the 12 base I found in a pawn shop in Florida. Great sound and so much fun.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your gift. It is definitely and act of love and I am loving every minute. In one afternoon I am up to lesson 4 and doing well with both hands making sense and sounding respectable.

Again, Thank You for sharing your love of this instrument with all of us beginners. You did good.

Hi,

I wanted to thank you SO MUCH for posting all of these accordion lessons. It is a wonderful vault with a thorough progression and an opportunity for beginners to graduate into a solid intermediate experience level.

I must tell you that it means a lot to start playing again. You see, when I was a young boy I took a few lessons with my grandfather who was an Italian born accordion musician. As a young man he learned the instrument and was paid to perform well into his 20's and continued to play recreationally throughout his life. Unfortunately, my interest in the accordion didn't last very long but admired my grandfather's ability to play the instrument.

About two weeks ago he passed away and left me with his prized accordion. It means so much to find your site and have the ability to pick up the accordion and hear bellows strike the same chords on the same accordion my grandfather used to play. Thank you for making it so easy to learn and letting me reconnect with my grandfather in a way that I cannot speak. I think this time I'll stick with it.

Kindly,
David
